Verdict

The Flow Z13 is one of the most unusual all-AMD gaming PCs available: a detachable Windows tablet with a 16-core processor, unusually capable integrated graphics and fast unified memory. Its portability and form factor are the attraction. Its soldered memory, premium price and dependence on a kickstand-and-keyboard layout are the compromises.

Performance Context

Radeon 8060S uses the same fast system memory as the CPU rather than dedicated GDDR memory. That makes its 32GB unified pool useful for mixed creation and graphics workloads, but it must not be compared as if it were a discrete RX 7700S or RTX laptop GPU with a fixed VRAM allocation. We keep the model unranked until a complete matched test set is available.

Design and Display

The detachable design is excellent for desk, tablet and pen-oriented use, and the 180Hz panel is unusually fast for this form factor. A conventional clamshell remains more stable on a lap, normally offers more ports, and is easier to repair or upgrade. Buyers should choose the Z13 for its form factor, not despite it.

Buying Advice

Buy the Flow Z13 if you want a compact all-AMD machine that can switch between tablet, creative workstation and gaming device. Choose a conventional discrete-GPU laptop if gaming performance per dollar, replaceable memory or lap usability is the priority.
